ROBBIE BAILEY NAMED ODAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK SALEM, VA (February 25, 2008)—Hampden-Sydney sophomore pitcher Robbie Bailey (Richmond, VA/Hermitage) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week. Bailey earns the honor after leading the Tigers to a 7-0 win against Waynesburg. Against the Yellow Jackets, the sophomore earned the complete-game victory, working seven scoreless innings with only two hits and no walks, while striking out four. On the season, Bailey has posted a 3-1 record with a 4.09 ERA in 22.0 innings of work. Bailey and the rest of the Tigers return to action on Saturday, March 1, as Hampden-Sydney will travel to Virginia Beach, VA to take on ODAC-rival Virginia Wesleyan College in a conference doubleheader.
