DANIEL HADRA EARNS ODAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK HONORS SALEM, VA (March 24, 2008)—Hampden-Sydney senior pitcher Daniel Hadra (Mechanicsville, VA/Atlee) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week. Hadra earns the honor after leading the Tigers to a 2-0 complete-game win against Guilford. Hadra's complete game victory gave the Tigers the first win of their ODAC sweep of the Quakers. Against Guilford, Hadra worked all seven innings, allowing no runs and only two hits. The senior did not allow any walks but struck out eight batters. Saturday's victory marked Hadra's fourth complete game on the season, as the senior has posted a 3-3 record with a 2.77 ERA. Hadra and the rest of the Tigers return to action on Thursday, March 27, as Hampden-Sydney will welcome Christopher Newport University to Yank Bernier Field.
