2004-05: Bowne saw enough playing time as a freshman a year ago to
gain valuable experience heading into his sophomore season as he looks to become
one of the top big men in the ODAC.
2003-2004: Bowne played in 23 games as a freshman for the Tigers in
2003-04 and averaged 1.5 points and 2.4 rebounds along with 8.2
minutes-per-contest... Bowne filled in for injured starter Mike Thompson midway
through the 2003-04 campaign and averaged six points and eight rebounds in the
three contests that Thompson missed... Scored a career-high eight points and
ripped down a career-best nine boards in Hampden-Sydney’s 95-55 victory over
Eastern Mennonite... Also dished out four assists in the victory... Recorded
nine boards in back-to-back games against both Lynchburg and EMU.
High School: Was a three-year letter-winner at St. Stephens for coach and
father Gary Bowne… Earned first team all-conference and third team all-region
honors after averaging 20 points, 10 rebounds and five assists… Was a
participant in the Charlotte Pro-Am All-Star game.
Personal: Born October 11, 1984… Son of Gary and Lisa Bowne… Has two
brothers, Garrett (16) and Harrison (12)… Major is undecided.
