![]() CAREER PROFILE: 2005-06: Edwards will be looking to become a more complete player this season on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball... Will be looked upon to be a consistent scoring option. 2004-05: Had a solid sophomore season as he finished the year second on the team averaging 8.5 points-per-game... Was a threat to score from all areas of the court as he nailed 24 trifectas, shot 36 percent from the field and converted at team-high 71 free throws... Scored a career-high 23 points in Tigers’ overtime victory over Guilford College as he was a perfect 12-of-12 from the free throw line and nailed a last second three pointer to send the game into overtime... Finished the year third on the team with 55 assists... Averaged 20.6 minutes and 2.0 rebounds-per-game, while leading the team with 30 steals. 2003-2004: Edwards was the only freshman to see action in all 30 games in 2003-04... Averaged 4.8 points, 1.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 14.6 minutes-per-game... Led the team at the charity stripe where he had a penchant for making clutch free throws, icing Tiger victories over Division I Longwood and Virginia Wesleyan in the ODAC Championship game with free throws down the stretch... Averaged 84 percent from the line as he converted on 38-of-45 attempts... Scored a career-high 12 points against both Longwood and Eastern Mennonite... Also grabbed a career-high eight rebounds against Eastern Mennonite... Dished out a career-best five assists in Tigers’ 105-63 victory over Guilford... Scored in 29 of 30 games during the season. High School: Was a three-year letter-winner at the Steward School under coach Butch Carter... Was named Virginia Independent Schools Division III State Player of the Year as a senior… Earned Virginia Independent Schools Division III First Team All-State three times… Virginia Independent Schools Division III Tournament MVP as a senior… Earned Virginia Commonwealth Conference Most Valuable Player honors and earned First Team All-Tournament accolades… Three-time First Team All-Virginia Commonwealth Conference… Was named Richmond Times-Dispatch Third Team All-Metro after averaging 22.3 points, 7.2 assists and 6.0 steals-per-game as a senior…Scored 1,000 points in just two seasons at the school.
