MIKE BLAINE JOINS TIGER BASKETBALL STAFF
“We are very excited to welcome Mike to the Hampden-Sydney College and basketball family,” stated Smith. “Mike brings valuable knowledge to our program and will be an asset to our program. He has playing experience at the Division III level and has experience as a Division I assistant coach, making him a valuable addition to the Hampden-Sydney basketball program." Blaine was a four-year member of the Johns Hopkins University basketball program, ranking fifth in school history in career field goal percentage and tenth in career blocked shots. A 2003 graduate, Blaine was a member of the Blue Jays basketball teams that posted a 64-37 overall record. Blaine began his coaching career as Director of Men’s Basketball Operations at James Madison University in 2003. In 2004, Blaine served as Director of Basketball Operations at the United States Military Academy for two seasons. During the 2006-2007 season, Blaine served as an Assistant Coach at Radford University. A native of Washington, D.C., Blaine currently resides in Farmville.. -www.hsc.edu/athletics- |
