BASKETBALL TIGERS RELEASE 2007-2008 SCHEDULE HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (August 6, 2007)—Hampden-Sydney’s basketball coach Bubba Smith has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2007-2008 campaign, featuring the 2007 Weenie Miller Memorial Holiday Hoops Tournament. The Tigers return several starters and key reserves from last seasons Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship team, but will face a tough schedule, including several participants from the 2007 NCAA Tournament. The Tigers will open the 2007-08 season on the road as Hampden-Sydney will face Averett University on Tuesday, November 20 at 7:00 pm. The Tigers will open ODAC-play on Saturday, December 1 as Hampden-Sydney will host Emory and Henry at 2:00 pm. Also highlighting the 2007-08 schedule are the Holiday Hoops Tournament, featuring Mississippi College and Greensboro College, and games against New Jersey City and Mary Washington in the Captains Classic, hosted by Christopher Newport University. The Tigers will host key match-ups against ODAC-foes Randolph-Macon College on January 19, Roanoke College on January 27, Virginia Wesleyan on January 30, and Guilford College on February 13.
