MONK, MANN TAKE IN TIGER
PRACTICE HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (August 16, 2004)--Former
Washington Redskin greats Art Monk and Charles Mann were on campus Monday
to watch the Tigers football practice and add a few words of advice and
encouragment to the 2004 squad. Monk and Mann were in town along with
Hampden-Sydney alum Joe Dunn ('93) and the three took in lunch with
President Emeritus General Sam Wilson and hung around to eat with the
team. ![]() Art Monk is the all-time leading receiver in Washington Redskins history. Monk holds the team records for most career receptions (888), most career receiving yards (12,026), most receptions in a game (13 vs. Detroit in 1990) and most receptions in a season (106, 1984).
