RYAN STILL NAMED ODAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK SALEM, VA (November 15, 2004)—Hampden-Sydney College senior linebacker Ryan Still (Salem, VA/Glenvar) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week after his standout defensive performance in Hampden-Sydney’s 50-16 victory over Randolph-Macon. Still put in a solid performance in his final collegiate game for the Tigers as he led the H-SC "D" with eight tackles, a sack, two tackles for loss and an interception, which he return 19 yards, in helping the Tiger defense limit Randolph-Macon to just 250 total yards. Still finished his senior season strong leading the Tigers in tackles in two of the team’s final three games and recording 20 of his season-total 33 tackles in that three game span. He finished his career with 110 tackles. Still and the Hampden-Sydney football team finished the season with an 8-2 overall record and 5-1 mark in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Still and his senior classmates recorded 30 victories in four years and will be remembered as the second-winningest Tiger class in Hampden-Sydney football history.
