TIGERS ANNOUNCE 2005 RECRUITS
HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (June 2, 2005)—Hampden-Sydney
College football coach Marty Favret has released the names of nearly 40
student-athletes who have made a deposit to the College
and are targeted to report in August for football training camp.
“We’re
excited about this group of student athletes and with their decision to
come to Hampden-Sydney to receive an education and play football,” said Favret.
“We have tremendous expectations
for the 2005 season and with the solid job our football staff did in
recruiting, we certainly feel that this group can help us accomplish our
goals for the coming season and the future.”
Hampden-Sydney’s
football team is coming off a season in which it won eight games and led
the Old Dominion Athletic Conference in scoring and offensive yards-per-game for the second straight
season. Over the last three seasons, the Tigers have won 25 games
and earned top-15 national rankings.
