BOYKIN NAMED TO PING ALL-SOUTH REGION TEAM

FISHERS, IN (May 29, 2007)—Hampden-Sydney junior Bob Boykin (Virginia Beach, VA/Cox) has been selected to the 2007 Golf Coaches Association of America's (GCAA) PING All-South Region team.  Boykin earned the honor as a result of his impressive season that culminated with a third-place finish individually at the 2007 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship and a berth into the 2007 Division III Golf Championships.

At the NCAA Golf Championships, Boykin earned one of only five individual spots and finished tied for 30th after rounds of 77, 74, 83, and 77 for a four-day total of 311.  This season, Boykin averaged a score of 74.0 per round, earning first team All-ODAC honors for the third consecutive year.
