his prep school in Baltimore, in his lacrosse career at Hampden-Sydney Ted

recognized as a national lacrosse power, Chambers quickly matured into one of
the country's best defensemen.

Fame Inductee), Chambers was H-SC's first lacrosse All-American, earning
honorable mention honors in both 1982 and 1983. He was a key member of
H-SC's 1982 team, which posted a 12-4 record and a first-ever national ranking
(number eight). That team's 12 wins remains a school record, equaled by
the 1998 squad.
Graduating summa cum laude with a degree in
French, Chambers earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University, then
pursued post-graduate training at the University of Pittsburgh, The Johns
Hopkins University, and the renowned Miami Vascular Institute. He now
specializes in endovascular surgery at Fairfax Hospital in Northern Virginia.

One of the top defensive backs
in H-SC football history, Jack Barber was a three-time first team All-ODAC
selection on the gridiron. His 16 pass break-ups as a freshman in 1985 is
still a H-SC record, as are his 35 career break-ups. He was in H-SC's top
ten in tackles all four years, including a career-best 66 as a senior. Barber
returned punts and kickoffs all four years as well, and his 94-yard kickoff
return in 1987 against Guilford is still a H-SC record.
As a lacrosse player, he was a
first team All-ODAC midfielder in 1989, helping the Tigers to an 11-3 record and
NCAA berth. In addition, he was named an alternate for the North-South
All-American game and an all-state selection. His senior year lacrosse
statistics included 17 goals and seven assists.
As a junior, Barber joined the
Tiger basketball team, becoming the first three-sport athlete at H-SC in over 20
years. He played in 24 of 25 games, averaging 4.6 points, and was named
the team's Most Improved Player at the end of the season.
A native of Durham, North
Carolina, Barber attended Woodberry Forest High School. He is currently an
investment manager for RCM Global Investors in San Francisco, CA. He and
his wife, Mary, have a son, Jackson, and another family member on the way.
Stephen Waskey '90

During his four years on "the
Hill" at Hampden-Sydney, Stephen Waskey became one of the top pass receivers in
school history. He is the Hampden-Sydney record holder, with at least one

ranks fourth on the H-SC chart, while his 108 career receptions is fifth-best.
A two-time All-American as a
split end, Waskey earned All-ODAC honors three times, including first team
honors as a junior and senior and second team accolades as a sophomore. As a
junior, he led the ODAC with 44 receptions and 602 receiving yards. His 44
receptions is the fifth-best mark in H-SC history. A star on and off the
