FOUR TIGERS EARN USILA ALL-AMERICA ACCOLADES

BALTIMORE, MD (May 29, 2007)—Four members of the Hampden-Sydney Lacrosse team have been named to the 2007 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-America teams.  Senior midfielder Ryan Harrington (Dallas, TX/Plano) earns second team honors, while junior Colin Dunn (Chevy Chase, MD/Trinity Pawling) earned third team honors at long-stick midfielder.  Earning honorable mention honors for Hampden-Sydney were senior midfielder Thomas Jennings (Murfreesboro, TN/Webb School) and junior defender Alex Pritzlaff (Castle Rock, CO/Kent Denver).  The teams were announced at the annual USILA All-America Banquet on May 27 as part of the NCAA Lacrosse Championship Weekend in Baltimore, MD.

Harrington earns second team honors after an impressive season in which the senior recorded team-highs with 34 goals and 43 points, while his nine assists placed him fourth on the team.  Harrington was honored as a first team All-ODAC selection and became the first Tiger to be invited to participate in the Warrior Major League Lacrosse Senior Challenge.  Harrington was also invited to play in the 2007 North-South Division III Senior Classic.

Dunn earns third team honors after scoring five goals, recording three assists, and grabbing 88 ground balls.  Dunn was also successful on 4-of-9 face-offs for a .444 winning percentage.  Dunn earned first team All-ODAC honors for the third consecutive season.

Jennings earns honorable mention honors as he scored 28 goals and dished out 11 assists for 39 points on the season.  Jennings proved to be a clutch performer for the Tigers as he scored four game-winning goals.  Jennings earned second team All-ODAC honors and was invited to participate in the 2007 North-South Division III Senior Classic.

Pritzlaff earns honorable mention honors after helping lead a Hampden-Sydney defense that allowed only 6.51 goals-per-game.  Pritzlaff recorded 23 ground balls on the season, earning second team All-ODAC honors.
