MOSS NAMED VASID ROOKIE OF THE YEAR, EARNS FIRST TEAM HONORS

FERRUM, VA (June 25, 2007)—Hampden-Sydney freshman William Moss (Fredericksburg, VA/Fredericksburg) has been named the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Tennis  Rookie of the Year and has been selected to the all-state first team.  Moss earns the honors after going 12-1 overall and 8-0 in the conference in #1 singles, earning ODAC Rookie and Player of the Year accolades.  Mary Washington's John James was named Player of the Year, while Washington and Lee's David Detwiler was named Coach of the Year.  The all-state teams are as follows:
