MOSS TABBED ODAC TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

SALEM, VA (April 7, 2008)–Hampden-Sydney sophomore tennis standout Will Moss (Fredericksburg, VA/Fredericksburg) has earned his second ODAC Player of the Week award, earning the nod after leading the Tigers to an important road victory over Guilford on April 2.

Moss defeated Guilford No. 1 Jose Ortiz 6-0, 6-0 to lead the Tigers to their fifth conference victory. He teamed up with freshman Rich Pugh to score a 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles, propelling Hampden-Sydney to the 8-1 team victory.  Following Hampden-Sydney's 7-2 win over Roanoke on Monday afternoon, Moss stands at 8-2 in the top singles slot this season, while compiling a flawless 6-0 mark in ODAC contests.

Moss and the Tigers will return to action on Wednesday, April 9 when they host rival Randolph-Macon at 4 pm.
