The Class of 2008
Scholarship
In honor of
Ms. Gerry Pettus
(Ms. P)
Your Class, Your College.
The Senior Class Campaign is all about Seniors
giving something meaningful back to the College. Since the College is a private institution, it relies heavily on a large
annual campaign called the Annual Fund to generate the necessary dollars to operate
and fulfill the mission of the College. Our alumni, therefore, are critical in helping the College to reach her goals--in other words, Alumni help keep the future of the College bright.
Your Class, Your College.
The Senior Campaign helps pull together the graduating class
and establish an annual scholarship given to a student with excellent academic
standing and with financial needs. Senior participation in this campaign is
vital to each class. A long-standing tradition at Hampden-Sydney is for each class
to work together to raise more money and participation than the previous class--a challenge that requires commitment, leadership, and a sense of pride in the College.
Your Class, Your College.
Still need a reason to make your Senior Gift?
How about honoring a relative, professor, or a friend that made a difference in
your experience at Hampden-Sydney. You can name your gift in their honor
or in memory. All Senior Gifts and any names of the honoree will be listed in the Commencement Program at Graduation.
This is a great way to publicly thank someone who has made a difference in your college experience.
"The Hampden-Sydney experience is both unique and powerful--demanding its
rewards."
