Ricky Talman is in his second year as the Assistant Director of Tiger Recreation. While providing assistance in the fitness center, he also heads the intramural sports program. In his first year as Intramural Director, Ricky helped increase the organization and overall growth of the program. He added a new sport, Ultimate Frisbee, this past spring and looks to continue to expand the program this year.
Ricky graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University with a BS in Sport Management and a minor in Communications. While at WVU Ricky was an active member of the Sport Management Club and was named Vice President his senior year. Along with his club activities, Ricky remained active in intramural sports participating yearly in flag football, basketball, and soccer.
Prior to joining the Tiger Recreation staff, Ricky was a game day operations intern for the Richmond Kickers. His duties included promotions, ticket sales, and the overall production of the live sporting event.
Ricky grew up in Chesterfield, Virginia where he played on numerous soccer teams around the area. He continues to play in the premier division of the CVSA to maintain his fitness and well being. He has a deep passion for all sports, and is an avid WVU football and basketball fan. In his spare time he enjoys canoeing, camping and traveling.
