Music-Lovers’ Weekends
May 26-27 and June 2-3

Great music and the pleasures of the countryside on Hampden-Sydney’s serene and historic campus.

MUSIC-LOVERS’ WEEKENDS INCLUDE:

• Tickets for two Artist Concerts.

• Lodging Friday and Saturday night in new dorm rooms with private baths and basic linen service provided.

• Five meals, Friday dinner through Sunday brunch, served in the College’s elegant Settle Hall.

Additional Weekend attractions and activities include:

• Open artist rehearsals, post-concert receptions, and gala 25th  anniversary events.

• Meeting the artists, players in the Artist Fellowship Program, and other weekend Music-Lovers at meals and receptions.

• Visiting historic downtown Farmville, Appomattox National Park (30 min. away), Jefferson’s Monticello and Poplar Forest (1-1/2 hrs. away).

• Use of all College athletic and fitness facilities, including the indoor-outdoor swimming pool, plus nearby golf courses.

• Concert Preview on Friday before dinner by pianist James Kidd, introducing the weekend concert repertoire.

• Saturday afternoon concert by Artist Fellows.

• If you play an instrument and love chamber music, bring it and music for impromptu reading sessions with other weekend Music-Lovers. Please indicate your instrument on the return registration form.

The fact that we interact with the musicians informally at the meals, concerts, & parties is a very wonderful aspect of the festival.
