Toby Appel, violin and viola
Since entering the Curtis Institute at age thirteen, violinist and violist Toby Appel has been a member of TASHI, the Lenox and Audubon quartets, guest artist with renowned ensembles, including the Vermeer Quartet, the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society, and with jazz artists Chick Corea and Gary Burton. A frequent commentator on NPR, he appears at major festivals in the US and in Europe, and is on the faculties of the Juilliard School, Carnegie Mellon University, and Rutgers University.
